Frizzy Hair and Curly Hair Can Be Controlled
Frizzy hair and curly hair is usually dry hair because it’s easier for the natural oils in the scalp to run down the hair shaft if the hair is straight. Curly hair loves creamy, ultra-moisturizing hair conditioner. For a CO-Wash (Conditioner –Only Wash), rinse hair with water, then add hair conditioner to the wet hair, wait, then rinse out gently. Use a monthly hot oil treatment. If you suffer from extra-dry hair, every 2 weeks use an intense moisturizing treatment.Avoid Dehydrating Frizzy Hair
Curly hair and frizzy hair hate excessive heat! Avoid everything that causes dryness to the hair like blow dryers, flat irons or curling irons. Don’t dehydrate the hair by washing it every day. It will look frizzy and out of control. Follow sulfate-free shampoo with a good moisturizing hair conditioner like So Natural™ Nurturing Conditioner. Let your curls dry naturally.
Moisturize and Protect Frizzy Hair
Your curly hair also needs to be hydrated regularly in order to maintain its healthy appearance. - On your damp hair, use your hands to apply hair conditioner liberally from roots to ends then comb your conditioner-soaked hair (using a wide-tooth comb) from ends to roots –gently. If desired, you can use a 'Denman-style' plastic/rubber bristle hair brush to gently brush hair.
- Don’t brush dry hair: Avoid damaging the cuticle; stretching and breaking hair.
- If needed, use wet fingers to ‘comb’ your hair and gently detangle.
- For spot conditioning, Add plenty of water to your hair conditioner in a spray bottle. Spray on ends of hair and use fingertips to gently work in.
- In addition to hair conditioner, add a little natural oil to your hair to seal in moisture.
