Hair Oil Treatment for Damaged Hair

Hair Oil Treatment for Damaged Hair –by L.J. O’Neal, writer.
Hair Oil Treatment for Damaged Hair -Jojoba Oil
The chemical structure of jojoba oil is quite similar to that of sebum, which is naturally produced by our body. Therefore, jojoba oil is very effective in maintaining the oil balance of the scalp, treating hair loss and strengthening the hair roots.

Jojoba oil is easily absorbed by the scalp and doesn’t need a carrier oil. It’s light and can be directly applied on your hair and scalp. The oil will penetrate deep into the hair shafts and moisturize hair follicle to make each stronger; thus repairing split ends when applied regularly.

Hair Oil Treatment for Damaged Hair -Lavender Oil

Lavender oil regulates the blood flow to the follicles that results in stronger hair roots, thus promoting improved hair growth.

Lavender oil has been very effective in treating dandruff since ancient times. Extreme stress and insufficient sleep can cause damage to hair. If your hair has been likewise been affected, try a lavender oil hair treatment or massage. It has been shown to induce sleep, thus an aid to relieving stress.

Like the aforementioned oils, rosemary oil strengthens hair roots, prevents hair loss and breakage; thus promoting hair growth.

Hair Oil Application

1.     Oil your scalp and roots, then section your hair, lightly applying oil from ends to roots with fingertips.  Start off with a light oiling of ½ tsp. or less, until the proper amount is obtained.

2.     Wrap Hair in plastic wrap/plastic cap and leave oil on for about 30minutes. If you want a hot oil treatment, cover with heated cap or hot towel for at least 60 minutes (1 hour).

3.     Wet hair; then apply prepared Lustrous Henna® Dry Shampoo Powder paste* to hair with fingertips (a small rubber spatula can aid in application, but not necessary). Making the shampoo paste takes about 30 seconds. Press and lightly massage throughout hair. (Follow-up gently; using a large-tooth comb for full coverage). Leave on for 5 minutes, and then rinse out until hair is completely free of shampoo.

4.     This hair oil treatment can be used on all hair types. There is no need to follow up with a conditioner if you have fine to normal hair. However, if you have extremely dry, course or damaged hair and want to use a conditioner, Imbue Natural Conditioner* is strongly recommended.
