Make Bath Salts at Home to Caress Your Tired Body

Why Make Ancient Bath Salts at Home

Make Bath Salts at Home to Caress Your Tired Body –by L.J O’Neal, writer.Bath salts are water-soluble, pulverized minerals added to water to be used for bathing. They are said to improve cleaning, enhance the enjoyment of bathing, and serve as a vehicle for cosmetic agents. Bath salts have been developed which mimic the properties of natural mineral baths or hot springs.1

It is said that an Ayurvedic bath can do all the above as well as promote skin rehydration, increase energy, improve circulation, relax our muscles and help us get a great night’s sleep.
“Bath salts, when used in their natural, pure form, contain many beneficial minerals and nutrients that keep your skin smooth, soft, and supple. Some of the minerals found in bath salts include magnesium, potassium, calcium, bromide, and of course, sodium. These minerals are easily absorbed into our pores and are known to cleanse and purify our skin on a molecular level, improving your skin’s radiance, tone, and texture.

Magnesium helps us fight stress and combat fatigue; calcium keeps water retention in check, promotes healthy bones and can help stave off osteoporosis; potassium balances moisture levels in the skin; bromide soothes tired, sore muscles; sodium plays a significant role in managing the balance of lymphatic fluid in our bodies. The result? Bath salts benefit not only our skin, but our entire bodies – from the inside out.”

How to Mix Ancient Bath Salts at Home

Make Bath Salts at Home to Caress Your Tired Body –by L.J O’Neal, writer.“When you use bath salts, the first step is to find the bath salt that’s right for you. You have to be careful to use bath salts that are of the highest quality possible; in their pure form, bath salts contain many beneficial minerals that can be lost if the salt is overly processed. Be sure to use 100% natural bath salts that are made from real sea salt.

It’s easy to use bath salts. For a bath, fill the tub about halfway to the desired level. Take a handful of bath salts and pour them into the bath by holding your hand under the faucet, allowing the bath salts to fall with the water into the tub. While pouring the bath salts into the bath, their fragrance will be released into the steam, allowing for a very fragrant bath.  Depending on their size, bath salts will dissolve quickly once in contact with hot water. Once you have poured one to two handfuls of bath salts into your bath, you’re ready to relax!  Be sure to stir the bath salts into the water and circulate them well, so the fragrances are released into the steam.
If you would like to use bath salts for exfoliation, simply take a small handful of fine-grain bath salts and add a tiny bit of water. Work the mixture into a paste and smooth it over your skin. You’ll be softer and smoother than you ever imagined!”3
