“This is the only product that I can use to cover my grays since I am allergic to all other hair dyes. I have dark hair so when I use this I get so many compliments on my highlights. “I started developing terrible allergic reactions to hair coloring products. I decided to let the gray grow in. I looked online for natural, botanical color to temporarily blend the new growth with my black hair. I found & tried L…t M……n Black. The preparation was time consuming, the paste gritty and messy to apply. I left the product on for several hours with no effect on the gray. The LM product specifically for gray hair is an even more complicated, time consuming 2 -step process.  

After more searching, I found & tried Lustrous Henna Soft Black. It was quick to prepare, the paste much smoother & easier to apply than LM. Not using a hair dryer, I kept it on for the recommended 2 hours. Directions say that for some gray hair a 2nd application might be needed but when rinsed out, I was delighted to find that a lot of the gray was covered, the rest muted so that it blended with a very lovely, natural effect.
