Natural Beauty Highlighted by Correct Hair Color Choice

Natural Beauty: Eye Color, Hair Color, Skin Tone

According to color experts, our overall facial features are usually divided up into two categories: Cool and Warm.  Our eye color, skin and natural hair coloring determine whether we are in the warm category or cool category.

Gray_eyes Cool Natural Beauty

Cool eye color:  dark brown, black-brown, gray-blue, dark blue, hazel with white gray or blue flecks.

Cool hair (natural) color:
Blue-Black (or jet black), deep brown, ash brown, ash blond, platinum blond.

Cool skin tone:
very dark brown, true olive, medium pale, medium with golden undertones, pale, bronze.

Greeneyes Warm Natural Beauty

Warm eye color: golden brown, green, green-blue, turquoise, hazel with golod or brown flecks.

Warm hair (natural) color:
deep brown with gold or red highlights, red, strawberry blond, gray-yellow, natural or golden blond.

Warm skin tone:
brown with pink or golden undertones, peachy or with peachy undertones, pale with gold undertones, freckled, ruddy.
Of course if you don’t remember what color your natural hair is or if you regularly use tanning beds, it might not be as simple. What colors currently compliments your facial features -in your wardrobe-should be able to determine if you are warm or cool. Blue, green and violet are cool hues. Red, orange and yellows are warm hues.

Most complimentary hair color for cool skin:
golden, rich brown and redder coloring.

Most complimentary hair color for warm skin:
ashy shades of brown  (instead of red-browns), black, light colors.

Natural Beauty Caveat:
The above is very basic. Remember, you are: uniquely you. Your complexion and skin tone might be more of a combination that doesn't ‘fit’ into a basic category. There is not true “cookie-cutter” template on cool or warm individuals. As suggested in part one of this post, if you’re unsure, do the following: It might be helpful to save some hair from your comb or hairbrush until you have enough test for color. Do a color test on your saved hair to ensure that you will like the results.
