But with this rise in demand comes an increase in the number of people prone to side-effects — some of them deadly. In January, Mariade Kelly, 29, ended up in a hospital high-dependency unit after suffering a severe reaction to PPD. She had decided to dye her hair black.”

Dermatological research* states that: A hair shaft defect is any structural abnormality of the hair shaft. Some hair shaft defects are easily diagnosed with the naked eye, others may require microscopic examination. Hair shaft defects may result in:

• No visible hair abnormality
• Hair loss (alopecia)
• Coarse or frizzy hair
• Un-combable hair – when disordered hair bundles grow in all directions and cannot be arranged by combing
• Fragile hair – hair shafts with reduced tensile strength. A gentle pull of several hair shafts will help determine if the hair is abnormally fragile.

Fact: Plucking gray hair will damage the papilla (not the follicle) and after repeated plucking, the hair will stop growing in that spot. "Love your product! I am 85% grey and ordered the Henna Soft Black along with the Indigo. I used three parts of Henna Soft Black and one part of Indigo. I love the results. I got a very dark brown to black color hair which was exactly what I was looking for.

I used chemical dyes two or three times and developed severe reactions to the chemicals used in those products. With the Henna Soft Black and Indigo I just get great looking hair with no reactions. Would recommend to anyone looking for natural products".
